Our facility also maintains a complete fabrication shop. With over 35 years in the industry, we have acquired skilled fabrication technicians who have the knowledge base to handle a wide range of metal fabrication services for locomotives and freight cars. There is no metal fabrication project too large or small for team of professionals; we are always up to the task at hand.

Using state-of-the-art technology, our modern fabrication facility is able to complete various locomotive and freight car specialty projects. From carbon steel and stainless steel to aluminum utilizing C.N.C. and manual equipment, we work diligently to enhance locomotive and freight car functionality and design. With the ability to create fabricated bracket-based freight car items, safety features, and completely new freight car bodies, there is limitless potential to utilize our full-service fabrication shop.

At Mid-America Car, Inc., we understand that there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all policy for freight car and locomotive fabrication. We fabricate in metal from 6 gauge to 3” thick.
